Chamber Retires Long-Running Home & Garden Show
Goldendale, WA – October 24th, 2025 — After thoughtful consideration, the Greater Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has made the difficult decision not to bring back the Home and Garden show in the coming years.
The decision comes after a thorough review of event costs, attendance trends, and the Chamber’s evolving priorities. While the Home & Garden Show has been a cherished Chamber event for many years, rising expenses and changing participation have made it increasingly difficult to continue producing the event at the scale and quality our community deserves.
“As with any business decision, the Chamber’s Board of Directors took time to look closely at the financials and all aspects of the event,” said Chamber Executive Director Teja Hanna. “After reviewing those details, the Board determined it was best not to continue the show at this time and instead focus our resources on our business training programs, revitalization projects such as the new Broadway welcome sign, and other critical support efforts for members and local businesses. These initiatives are already creating long-term benefits for the community and align closely with the Chamber’s mission.”
Going forward, the Chamber will continue to focus on expanding member trainings, business-development programs, and community revitalization projects throughout its service area — initiatives that create long-term impact and align closely with the organization’s mission of strengthening the local economy and enhancing quality of life.
All vendors or organizations that prepaid at the conclusion of the 2025 Home & Garden Show are being contacted, and refunds are currently in progress.
The Chamber also welcomes any local business or organization interested in carrying the Home & Garden Show forward in the future. Should another group wish to take it on, the Chamber would be happy to offer event-marketing support, just as it does for other major community events across Klickitat County.
“It’s been an honor to help carry on the Home & Garden Show tradition,” said Spencer Sieler, 2025 Home & Garden Show Committee Chair. “This event has been a true reflection of community collaboration and local creativity. While it’s always hard to say goodbye to something with so much history, I’m proud of what it’s accomplished and confident the Chamber’s next steps will continue to strengthen and celebrate our local businesses.”
While the Home & Garden Show comes to an end, the Chamber extends heartfelt thanks to the many businesses, volunteers, and community members who made it a success over the years. Their contributions and enthusiasm helped shape a legacy of creativity and community spirit that will continue to inspire future Chamber initiatives and events.
